This apron features a revived archival print inspired by the classic composition notebook—a fan-favorite we’ve finally brought back. Years ago, we stumbled upon a few yards of deadstock fabric bearing this pattern and have been chasing a way to recreate it ever since. After much experimenting, we cracked the book wide open.
Now, that distinctive print meets our best-selling cross-back apron—designed for pro chefs and home cooks alike, and built with the same comfort, durability, and sustainability you’ve come to expect. Made from medium-weight, organic hemp-cotton canvas, it’s anti-microbial, environmentally friendly, and built to last.
- Signature Sustainability: Made from a certified biodegradable blend of 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton, grown without harmful chemicals to protect the environment and farmworkers.
- Handcrafted Print: Screen-printed by hand in Los Angeles with water-based inks and featuring a nostalgic composition notebook pattern. Look closely and our signature bartacks are hiding in plain sight.
- Ergonomic Fit: Our cross-back style evenly distributes weight across your shoulders, reducing strain during long shifts or creative stretches.
- Functional Details: Includes a double pen chest pocket, two deep lap pockets and brass grommets that hold up to heavy use.
- Built with Care: Pre-washed for a soft, lived-in feel. Reinforced with bartacks at high-stress points for extra strength and character.
Dimensions: 33" L x 30" W to fit a range of body types. 80" straps can be shortened at the bartack, or contact us for complimentary hemming if the apron length feels too long.

Our hemp is grown and harvested without harmful herbicides or pesticides, and its natural anti-microbial properties combine with organic cotton to protect farmworkers, our water supply, and the environment from contamination. Subtle variations in color and texture, especially in the straps, are a hallmark of the dye process and our commitment to using low-impact dyes.

- Machine wash cold, tumble dry low.
- Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.
- Tie straps before washing to prevent tangling.
Shipping & Returns
Each apron is finished to order and can take up to 7 business days to ship. You'll receive a tracking number upon dispatch. We accept returns or exchanges for unworn, unwashed items within 15 days (custom orders are final sale). As a small business, we ask customers to cover return shipping.
